Income and continuity
Salary, business profits and professional receipts help a lender understand how repayments may be supported. The consistency of income can be as relevant as the amount. Keep evidence of regular income ready and explain unusual credits or seasonal changes clearly.
Existing financial commitments
Current EMIs, credit-card obligations and other commitments reduce the money available for a new repayment. Start with your household or business budget, including essential expenses and a buffer for unexpected costs, before choosing a loan amount.
Credit and repayment history
Lenders may review your credit report, repayment behaviour and current borrowing. Check your report for errors and follow the reporting provider’s correction process if you find a discrepancy. A score is one input into an assessment, not a promise of approval.
Employment, business or professional profile
- Salaried applicants may need employment and salary evidence.
- Business applicants may need operating history, registration details and financial records.
- Professionals may need qualification, registration and practice information.
- Age and the requested tenure can influence the available repayment period.
Property and security
For a home loan or loan against property, the lender may assess ownership, title, valuation and the acceptability of the property. A sound income profile does not replace property-related checks. Avoid making a purchase commitment based only on an informal eligibility estimate.
Gold, vehicles, equipment and financial securities are assessed under their respective lender rules. Asset value and acceptability do not remove the need to understand repayment obligations. For education finance, the course, institution and co-applicant profile may also matter.
Before you start
- Estimate an EMI that leaves room for regular expenses and savings.
- List all existing repayments and outstanding borrowing.
- Keep names and addresses consistent across documents.
- Prepare recent income and bank records.
- Ask the lender for the final amount, rate, fees and repayment schedule in writing.
An enquiry is the first conversation
ARUNASUN can help you understand the broad process and prepare relevant information. Final eligibility, pricing and approval remain with the lender. Use the enquiry form to describe your requirement; do not enter bank account credentials or identity-document numbers.
